29 September, 2011, Dhaka. Some NGOs and right based organizations demanded the full and effective implementation of the Right to Information Act 2009. They placed that demand during a human chain and rally in front of the National Press Club today. Tothyo Odhikar Forum (ToF) and COAST along with other members of ToF organized that human chain and rally to observe the International Right to Know day.

The human chain and the rally were moderated by Mustafa Kamal Akand of COAST Trust. It was said that, in Bangladesh Tothyo Odhikar Forum (Forum on Right to Information) was observing the day under the leadership of Manusher Jonno Foundation and in association with various organization. COAST organized that program as an effective member of that forum. Md. Mujibul Haque Munir of COAST Trust presented the concept paper on the program. He informed that, the main focus of that day observation were to place the demand of effective implementation of the right to information act and to place request to respective person and organization to be responsible to that act.
