COAST,
in association with Bangladesh Fisheries Research Forum
(BFRF), Bangladesh Agriculture university, Institute of
Marine Sciences and University of Stirling-UK,
have conducted several field based researches on the
supply chain and value chain analysis of the marine
dried products in domestic and international market. Md
Shamsuddoha, Senior Coordinator-Research and Development
of COAST, have conducted the researches and discussed
the research outcomes in the 2nd Annual General Meeting
of BFRF, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh during 18-19 January

Bangladesh is the considered as one of the most
disaster prone counties of the world. Wide and open
coast, strong current and wind, dynamics of erosion and
siltration, natural slopping of the continent etc. In
2005 COAST commissioned a research on 'Climate Change
and Coastal Vulnerabilities in Bangladesh' and launched
the research finding in a national seminar in
